Who knew that one trip to the supermarket would have so many things happening?
I usually walked my way to Tunas Manja(Some Aussie guy called it the 'green kangaroo') which is 20 minutes walk from here. Today, was no exception. However, on my way there, I was greeted by 2 dogs, a mother and son. The spotty white mother is my usual stalker, but she always stops at one point. Her spotty black son usually shy away from me, but for some reason, he's my stalker today. He's black with a few white and brown spots lined with bullmastiff colorations on his legs. A mongrel like his mother, but don't get the wrong idea, they are not strays.
I expected them to stop following me when I walked pass their street, but when I reached the junction going into the Malay area, I realized that the black dog was on my trail. Fearing for his safety, since Malays are not kind to dogs at all, I tried to shake him off in the Chinese area close to where his home is. He was quite persistent in following me, and I spent half an hour trying to get him off my back. He's a nice dog, very adorable and docile. Although he was shy and scared of me at first(despite following me), he warmed up to me when he sat close to me and started licking my hand as I petted him, exhausted by his persistence. Soon after, he was distracted by two dogs barking at me and I quickly made my escape by walking into an alley.
After getting the things Grandma wanted, it started raining heavily and I walked all the way home. It feels good to walk in the rain, and since this is monsoon rain, there's no lightning!
I was drenched, literally. My white T-shirt turned semi-transparent, and I was a little embarassed if someone I know saw me. I can't help it being hirsute AND obese. Fortunately, the whole place is empty since nobody is as crazy as I am to walk the streets when it was raining giganosauruses and bronchiosauruses. However, I was happy anyways. Just wished I wore black instead of white.
